# Get Event Analytics

GET https://api.taktoria.com/api/v1/dory/events/{eventId}/analytics

Everything on an event's numbers page: attendance against the
workspace's capacity, questions by outcome, how much of the room
asked or voted, the median wait for an answer, joins and questions
over time, the most upvoted questions and the polls' totals. Needs
`participants:read`.

Reference: https://docs.taktoria.com/api-reference/dory/get-event-analytics

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

## Servers

- `https://api.taktoria.com/api/v1` (Production, default)
- `http://localhost:3000/api/v1` (Local)

## Request

### Path parameters

- `eventId` (string, required)

## Response

### 200

- `span` (AnalyticsSpan, required) — The window the charts are drawn over: the event's start and end, or for one without them, the first and last thing that happened in it. A live event without an end reaches now.
- `attendance` (integer, required) — Everybody who joined, anonymous attendees included.
- `capacity` (CapacityUse, required) — Attendance against what the workspace pays for per event.
- `questions` (QuestionTotals, required)
- `votes` (integer, required) — Upvotes on questions.
- `askers` (integer, required) — People who asked something.
- `voters` (integer, required) — People who upvoted something.
- `engagedShare` (integer, required) — The share of the room, as a whole percentage, that asked or voted rather than only watched. Somebody who did both counts once.
- `joins` (list of AnalyticsBucket, required) — People joining, per column of the span.
- `cumulativeJoins` (list of AnalyticsBucket, required) — `joins` added up: how many were in the room by each column.
- `questionsOverTime` (list of AnalyticsBucket, required) — Questions asked, per column of the span.
- `top` (list of TopQuestion, required) — The eight most upvoted questions, dismissed ones left out.
- `polls` (PollTotals, required)
- `medianAnswerWait` (double, optional) — The median minutes from asking to being answered; absent with nothing answered.

## Errors

### 404 Not Found Error

- `error` (ErrorDetail, required)

### 429 Too Many Requests Error

Rate limited (`rate_limited`): the key, the signed-in person, the workspace or an expensive endpoint's own budget is used up for now. `Retry-After` says how many seconds to wait, and `details` names the `policy`, its `limit`, `windowSeconds` and `retryAfter`. Every answer to an authenticated request carries the IETF `RateLimit-Policy` and `RateLimit` headers, so a client can slow down before it gets this. Nothing was done; wait and send it again. See "Rate limits".

- `error` (ErrorDetail, required)

## Types

### AnalyticsSpan

The window the charts are drawn over: the event's start and end, or for one without them, the first and last thing that happened in it. A live event without an end reaches now.

- `start` (datetime, required)
- `end` (datetime, required)

### CapacityUse

Attendance against what the workspace pays for per event.

- `attendance` (integer, required)
- `capacity` (integer, required) — What the event was settled against once it has been, otherwise what the workspace pays for now.
- `overage` (integer, required) — Participants over capacity, billed once the event ends.
- `percent` (integer, required) — Attendance as a percentage of capacity, at most 100.
- `over` (boolean, required)
- `nearly` (boolean, required) — Within 10% of capacity and not over it yet.

### QuestionTotals

- `total` (integer, required)
- `answered` (integer, required) — Questions ANSWERED now.
- `dismissed` (integer, required)
- `pending` (integer, required)
- `anonymous` (integer, required)
- `answeredShare` (integer, required) — `answered` as a whole percentage of `total`.
- `anonymousShare` (integer, required) — `anonymous` as a whole percentage of `total`.

### AnalyticsBucket

One column of a chart over time.

- `at` (datetime, required) — Where the column starts. Its width follows the span, from a minute to a day.
- `count` (integer, required)

### TopQuestion

- `id` (string, required)
- `body` (string, required)
- `upvoteCount` (integer, required)
- `answered` (boolean, required)

### PollTotals

- `total` (integer, required) — Polls in the event.
- `responses` (integer, required) — Answers to them, every poll together.

### ErrorDetail

- `code` (string, required) — A stable machine-readable code such as `not_found`.
- `message` (string, required)
- `details` (any, optional)
